EVERY RIDER HAS THAT ONE SPECIAL HORSE WHO CHANGES EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM
Hello Spring….maybe or maybe not. The weather has been a bit crazy the past few weeks. Horses don’t know if they should shed or not. It has made for some real challenges for sure. Keeping those wet mashes going and paying particular attention to guy health is key. Here at the barn we ran a course of Phyto-Quench to boost the immune system and help the horses deal with the ever changing weather.
Besides weather we are all dealing with the ever increasing prices on everything. While we are doing our best to tighten our belts and become more efficient there are some costs that we cannot avoid. Along with increasing hay prices will of course go the bagged forage prices. While not huge increases you will notice them. Fuel prices for shipping will also have an impact. We are managing the shipments to be the most cost effective so we may have to wait an extra week but don’t worry, feed is on its way and we will be stocked up for summer.
We will have the Certified Weed Free Alfalfa in limited quantities so if you think you will need it then I suggest getting it sooner rather than later as it will not last at only 24 bales. The Certified Weed Free Timothy will remain in ample supply as will all of our other most popular items. Standlee has made changes to the Frequent Forager Program. Details on that program are below.
Frequent Forager Program Update
This program has three distinct sub-programs: Frequent Forage Buyer Program – Buy 12 Bales or Bags and receive one free; includes 50lb, 40lb and 25lb sizes. Delivery Days
Since it seems that everyone starts to get busy planning ahead for spring and summer we thought we would try putting out the schedule a few months in advance to make it easier. With fuel prices as high as they are we will be trying to be as efficient as possible in our delivery days. We are making fewer additional trips to town as well so our ability to fit in a last minute order is a little limited so may not happen as fast as you have experienced in the past. If needed you can always stop by and pick up anything you might need just give us a call ahead of time to schedule. The sooner you get your orders in the better we are able to plan but not later than 5pm the night before your scheduled delivery day. Thank you
