January has certainly posed many a challenge so far. So much early snow and rain is really needed and should give us a great show of spring flowers. The break from the wet weather this past week has been much needed as well. The horse love the cold crisp mornings to run about and kick up their heals. It has also allowed us to start getting out and riding the show covered roads. It is a really workout for the horses to walk through the knee deep snow. It is slow going but provides an opportunity to really take in the beauty and peacefulness that the snow brings. Trying to remember to be grateful for what we have and that we can get out and enjoy it.
Thank you all for your patience as we played catch up after the last delivery. With the short month ahead and very full calendar of events we are going to try to get out ahead of schedule and get as much delivered early as possible. To that end if you can get your orders in by Sunday evening that will really help us plan and get you on the schedule. March should be as planned (so far).
Last month we reminded everyone to make sure they renewed their membership with one of the local non-profit horse organizations to continue to receive 10% off on your orders. You can text or message your membership renewal and we will update your records. Very easy and a great way to support horse events and trails in the local area. The Nevada All-State Trail Riders, Inc, will be hosting several events this year in addition to the endurance riding events. These will include social trail rides and trail work days to improve local horse trails. Three of the endurance events will also be holding intro rides. Intro rides are 5-10 miles long ridden at your own pace and are a great way to meet other trail riders, enjoy a well marked trail, a good meal and learn about endurance if that is something you are interested in. With better weather pending many folks are looking at putting shoes back on. The Versa line up has something for everyone whether you nail on or glue on. We keep a wide range of sizes in stock. Octo’s are now available as well.

Delivery Days
Weather is possibly going to impact our schedule a bit this month as well as other factors mentioned previously so we are going to make a few adjustments. Please take a look at the schedule to make sure you have your orders in as early as possible. We will not deliver during wet weather. It is just too hard on some of the feeds to be exposed to moisture if you don’t have the ability to open the bags and let them breath a bit upon delivery. Putting the schedule out a few months ahead still seems to be working well, so we will continue to post three months of deliveries at a time. With fuel prices as high as they are we will be trying to be as efficient as possible in our delivery days. We are making fewer additional trips to town as well so our ability to fit in a last minute order is a little limited so may not happen as fast as you have experienced in the past. Special trips to town for that “I have to have it or else…” order will have a $10 delivery fee. If you need to, you can always stop by and pick up anything you might need, just give us a call ahead of time to schedule. The sooner you get your orders in the better we are able to plan, but not later than 5pm the night before your scheduled delivery day. With winter will come weather than can impact our deliveries. If we have to make changes we will let you know. It is always a good idea to plan ahead and have enough to carry your through an extra week if the weather keeps us from delivering as planned. Thank you
